  • Merry Belated Christmas! (and a happy new year). I hope everyone had a great holiday season. My mom and my brother came out to visit. We were stuck inside a lot because of all the snow, and Josh had to work like crazy, but in the end, Christmas is a wonderful time and it's hard to ruin it no matter what you do.

Yes, there is a TON of snow here. It seems like Colorado keeps getting hit with one storm after the other. I heard there was no snow in MN and there was not a white Christmas. That is really sad. It seems like all the snow moved here because I heard that in these parts of Colorado (eastern plains) a white Christmas is very rare. I guess the snow is just following me . (of course I'm joking, could you imagine if the snow did follow me though, wow, that would be weird, ... any way...).

So, time to give you the news that you came for... INTERNSHIP is CANCELLED!! Just kidding.... hopefully most people keep reading.

We only need $1,120 in one time gifts, and we have over 100% of our monthly costs. Crazy, isn't it? God has really been stretching me with His ways of provision. Our visa is most likely going through, but we've decided to enter the country as tourists to begin with. We are going to get to ride the train from Beijing, China to Ulan Baatar, Mongolia. It takes a day and a half... doesn't that sound adventurous and exciting?

In not so exciting news, I (ashlee) was in a pretty bad accident. Our truck is totalled, but someone in our church has blessed us by borrowing us a car until we leave in February. I'm not seriously injured, but I am very sore and a little scratched up. God really did save my life. All the emergency workers were amazed that I just walked away. An incident like that really makes you realize what matters, and how thankful we always should be, but aren't. There is currently an investigation to find out who is at fault, who owes who what, etc. etc. Please pray for us, because we would hate to cancel our internship because of a car wreck. I'm trusting that because God has provided so extravagantly so far, He will continue to.

Well, I hope all is well with everyone, and thanks for your prayers.
